"World's best paper" - By far! Review by Tyson
The first thing I noticed upon recieving these notebooks (I ordered 10) was that, on the label, they claim to have "The world's best paper". Of this I was skeptical, until I opened one, felt the paper, and wrote a few words. I have honestly, never, ever, written on smoother paper. At $15 for 2 of these, it's a steal, some of the best value for money you can find, especially for such a high-end product. Well worth the money. The only thing to keep in mind - especially if you're a student, like me, is that these books are heavy when compared to a standard notebook - such as those found at officeworks, because they have just as many pages, but they have twice the weight per page (90gsm paper weighs far more), so approximating, they weigh just over half a kilogram each - which stacks up when you're carrying 4. All round though, very high quality notebooks, you'll love them. (Posted on 21/09/2017)
my 'go-to' notebooks Review by Robert
It took me a long time to find a notebook that suited me, and since I've found Clairefontaine I've stayed loyal to them. I've written and published three novels, all written on Clairefontaine, and am currently on my 40th notebook. I always carry one of the little pocket notebooks in my pocket with a Kaweco Sport fountain pen, for jotting down those random ideas and overheard snippets of conversation during the day. I started with Moleskin, but they are so over-rated. Cheap thin paper that my fountain pen bleeds through. The Clairefontaine paper is smooth under my nib and never bleeds through. The covers are tough, and the small notebooks are robust enough to survive being in my back pocket all day. I can't recommend them strongly enough. (Posted on 10/07/2015)
