- Light but Satisfying, like Cheese on a Cracker. Review by Turniptude
It's a thin notebook that can give the impression of being flimsy, but the paper inside is some seriously strong stuff.
You can hit the smooth surface with black waterproof ink from a fountain pen and not only does it not bleed or smear, it doesn't even show through on the other side. Make a mistake and have to –ugh, disaster– mar your work with strikethroughs, but turn the page and all is forgiven: there are no blotches in sight.
The stitch binding runs the length of the page, so there's no chance of pages falling out. There are clothes out there made with loser stitching than these notebooks. You can also press it flat without weakening the spine and write in the gutter if you want to.
The lines on this are a mid-grey. They stand out on a blank page, but once you fill it with writing the lines step into the background.
This is my go-to notebook when I'm starting a new project. Still in the vague brainstorming stage that doesn't really warrant a large notebook, but wanting something that's substantial enough to make wild ideas concrete and for archive purposes. (Posted on 29/07/2015)
